The sole privately held Vietnamese telecommunications provider is Vietnamobile. Hanoi Telecom and Hutchison Asia Telecom Group have formed a business partnership (a subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings, which owns the Three telecom brand). Vietnamobile faces off against state-owned rivals Viettel, Vinaphone and MobiFone.

Vietnamobile, one of the country’s challenger mobile networks, enlisted WHAM to help reposition its brand in 2020, targeting Vietnam’s young-at-heart data lovers. The project called for a simple and memorable idea, and a strong and compelling story that could be told without significant media investment. WHAM’s idea, ‘The Big-Hearted Network’ gave the brand a platform to communicate its generous product and data propositions, executed with a versatile visual hook made for Vietnamobile’s digitally-savvy audience.
